Our Story

W. Seth Martin

Seth Martin serves as the Lead Pastor of The Brook Community church. In 2017, Pastor Seth felt a call from God to plant a church in the Twin Cities area. After much prayer and wise counsel from leaders in his life, he and his wife moved to the Twin Cities to plant The Brook.

Prior to this, Seth served as the Director of Ministries for the Victory Cathedral Worship Center in Chicago, IL and as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor for the New Hope Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR and Second Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va, respectively. Seth accepted his call to ministry at the age of 15, preached his first sermon in 2009, and has served in full-time ministry since 2012. Since then, Seth has had opportunities to share the gospel across the country and has consistently served the local church.

Seth is a graduate of Hampton University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Leadership and a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Divinity. Seth is married to his lovely wife, Hannah Monique Martin and father to Zoe Elizabeth Martin and Elena Simone Martin.

This is our Prayer

We pray that we will be a refreshing church, not because we are a new church, but because we are like the original church. We want to focus on connecting people to Jesus, to other believers, and to their purpose to reach the world. It is our aim to be connectors because we believe connecting to Christ leads to a refreshing in our souls.

Please join us this Sunday!
